Research, innovation, experience and 100% colombian talent were key to the building of the Dorada, the most powerful pushboat that has ever been designed and built in the country, being the most efficient one operating in the Magdalena river, with a record of 99.328 barrels or 20.130 ton transported in a single ride. In the 3th photo you can see the largest convoy that has navigated this river with 425m of lenght. During this time of pandemics, our commintment is with the health and safety of everyone. Along with our partners from Schottel we recieve the MaxCheramie from the U.S., which came for an emergency drydock, it was the first international ship received in the pandemic that was performed under strict biosafety protocols. This was their experience! In Astivik, always safe! Since the signing of the Colombia free trade agreement with the United States, US flag vessels can carry out their repairs and maintenance in our country without paying penalties when returning to North American territory.

Recently, from Panama, we received a visit from RM Lupo, a 70 Tons BP Z-drive tugboat, which we assisted for the complete repair of its starboard propulsion system, manufactured by Schottel. During the repair, a misalignment of the steering cone was evident, requiring on-site machining with a specialized portable lathe and the installation of a new ring jacket. At Astivik our motivation is to provide timely solutions, that is why we offer the best results in the shortest possible time.
AMIRA SEA Being 100 meters LOA and 16.2 meters beam, this St. Vincent & Grenadines flag vessel arrived at our shipyard for repair and maintenance work, during its 45-day stay at Astivik Shipyard; Surface preparation and painting work was carried out in the hull, change of zinc anodes, renovation of minor steels in the hull, maintenance of valves, cleaning and painting of sea chest, disassembly and assembly of anchors and chain, maintenance of MAK 9M32 engine liners and cylinder heads, maintenance of Liebherr CBW 40/20 crane cylinders and bowthruster maintenance with SCHOTTEL. Like our client, we are proud of the quality and timing of the work carried out, the condition of the vessel and the strengthening of our commercial relationship.
