What services does Astivik provide?

Astivik provides services of shiprepair, shipmaintenance, shipdesign and shipbuilding for vessels and all kinds of naval artifacts, some of the main services are steel renewal, maintenance and repair of propulsion and steering systems, surface preparation and paint, renewal of piping systems, installation of bow-thrusters, installation of FIFI systems, electrical and electronic work, among many others.

What is Astivik’s maximum lifting capacity?

Astivik has the highest lifting capacity in Colombia, which is 4,000 tons at Astivik’s Drydock IV.

Does Astivik have any quality certifications?

Yes, Astivik is certified with ISO 9001 quality certification since 2008; we are currently certified in the 2015 version the standard.

What lifting media does Astivik use? Dry dock? floating dock? Syncrolift? Slipway?
Astivik has three floating drydocks, one rail slipway and one airbags docking position.
Does Astivik build vessels?

Yes, Astivik is a shipbuilder. Astivik is the shipyard that has built the highest number of barges in the country; it is the only shipyard in Colombia that has built floating docks. In total we have built 5 floating docks, and we also constructed the most powerful river pusher; built with 100% Colombian talent. We have also built bay tugboats and other smaller vessels.

Does Astivik carry out surface preparation works?
Yes, we perform sandblasting works from grade SA1 to grade SA3.
Does Astivik repair propellers?
Yes, we have certified workshops to perform all types of repairs within the required standards.
Does Astivik repair tail shafts?
Yes, we have certified workshops to perform all types of repairs within the required standards.
Does Astivik apply silicone paint?
Yes, we have the equipment and qualified staff to apply siliconized paint schemes according to the specifications of each manufacturer.
Does Astivik have steel renewal procedures?
Yes, we have WPS and PQR certified by several classification societies

What measures of safe work does Astivik adopt to carry out its activities?
Astivik shipyard complies with all procedures for high-risk tasks, ensuring the performance of works in a safe environment, highlighting activities such as hot works, tasks confined spaces, work at heights and handling of layher-type scaffolds, manipulation of dangerous substances and hoisting of loads. Within the safe work measures taken there are inductions for everyone who enters the yard, short daily safety pep-talks, analysis of safe work, issuing and fulfilling of work permits, inspection of gases and issue of gas free certificate, among others. It is also mandatory that all personnel have HSE certifications for the task to be carried out, making an emphasis on Res. 1409/12 OSHA and NFPA
